The official Journal of Pakistan Society of Neurosurgeons is, "Pakistan Journal of Neurological Surgery".
Pakistan Journal of Neurological Surgery (PJNS) started its journey in July 1998. The idea of PJNS was presented by Late Prof. Javeed Majeed Mian in 1996-1997. Late Prof. I.A. Raja was the founding Chief Editor and Late Dr. Khurram Shafique was the Founding Editor. In 1999, after the sad death of Dr. Khurram Shafique, Dr. Muhammad Anwar Chaudary performed the duty of Managing Editor from 1999 to-2010. During this period, Prof. Javeed Majeed and Prof. Nazir Ahmed remained the Chief Editors. From 2010-2015, Prof. Tariq Salah ud Din and Prof. Anjum Habib Vohra also remained the Chief Editors. After the retirement of these professors, Prof. Muhammad Anwar Chaudary took the charge as Chief Editor from 27-10-2015 to-date. The journal was recognized from PMDC in year 2000 onwards. It has also been also recognized by HEC since long period.
Pakistan Journal of Neurological Surgery (www.pakjns.org) is a multidisciplinary, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access, quarterly journal, published in both printed and online versions (Print: 1995 – 8811; Online: 2409 – 5567) by Pakistan Society of Neurosurgeons (PSN), Department of Neurosurgery, Punjab Institute of Neurosciences (PINS), Lahore Pakistan.
The journal has been indexed in multiple International agencies like EuroPub UK, ICI (Index Copernicus), ISSN France, BASE Germany, Cross Ref, Eurasian Index, Asian Digital, PASTIC and PakMediNet.
